From April 20 to 22, 2025, Dr. Rana Sawaya, UCB President and Dr. Amina Buallay, Advisor to the Chairman of Board of Trustees, participated in the QS Higher Ed Summit: Middle East 2025, held at the Gulf University for Science & Technology in Kuwait.
The summit focused on how universities can contribute to shaping Society 5.0, a vision in which technological advancements place people at the center as primary beneficiaries. By addressing the unique challenges and opportunities of the Middle East, participants shared valuable insights into creating educational environments that foster critical thinking, creativity, and social responsibility while also addressing regional skills gaps.
The conference further highlighted the vital role of collaboration between academia, industry, and government to ensure education systems are aligned with the evolving demands of Society 5.0.
