Undergraduate Program

UCB offers a contemporary approach to communication and multimedia for students interested in entering this fast moving, ever-expanding field. The Department offers a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication & Multimedia at the undergraduate level specializing in, Public Relations and Graphic Design. It is structured over a period of 4 years. 

In Communication and Multimedia department (CMM) we believe in active debates and discussions to articulate the function, value and purpose of the industry, as well as research, intellectual curiosity, discovery, interaction and the acquisition of skills to express and communicate through verbal and visual methods. 

All courses at the CMM aim to meet the needs of communication professionals working in various media outfits of the industry. It constantly makes efforts to innovate programs in order to meet the challenges in the industry. 

Objectives: 

  • Equip students with theoretical and practical knowledge that encourages and stimulates their creativity in developing public relations and graphic design projects with the latest tools and trends as demanded by the industry. 
  • Embed professional ethics and work-ready skills that prepare them to be leaders and innovators in the fields of public relations and graphic design. 
  • Solve real world problems by applying critical and reflective thinking skills through integration and application of knowledge in the fields of public relations and graphic design.  
  • Instill distinct competencies that equip students to succeed in their career in the media and communications industry or to pursue further graduate studies in the related field. 

According to their interests and aspirations, students pursuing Communication and Multimedia select the emphasis of their choice from the 2 concentrations.
