Public Relations is a field of Communication used to build rapport with employees, customers, investors, voters or the public. It is the practice of managing the flow of information between an organization and the public. Several specialties exist within the field of Public Relations such as Analyst Relations or Media Relations. Public Relations perform a management function that establishes and maintains mutually beneficial relationships in organization success.
This course aims at providing students with scientific background that qualifies students to further study on media and communication. The course covers the concepts of human and mass communication, its importance elements, levels and characteristics. In addition to the most prominent scientific patterns of communication, the evolution of human communication till the era of public or mass communication.
