University College of Bahrain held a special celebration in honor of Saudi National Day, reflecting the deep bonds of brotherhood and historic friendship between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The event was attended by prominent figures from the Saudi Embassy in Bahrain, including His Excellency Counselor Fahd bin Mohammed bin Ajami bin Muneikher, Acting Chargé d’Affaires of the Saudi Embassy in Bahrain, and His Excellency Colonel Rukn Hithal Mohammed Al-Dosari, the Military Attaché at the embassy.

The celebration began with a speech by Professor Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, the Founder and chairman of the board of trustees of University College of Bahrain. In his address, he highlighted the deep historical ties between Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, emphasizing the critical role these relations play in ensuring stability and sustainable development in the region. He expressed pride in the spirit of brotherhood shared by the two nations and encouraged students to uphold the authentic national values passed down through generations in both countries. He also stressed that this celebration underscores the University College of Bahrain’s commitment to fostering academic and cultural connections between Bahraini and Saudi youth.

Dr. Rana Sawaya, the university president, affirmed that this event reflects the cultural unity between the two peoples, noting that University College of Bahrain consistently organizes events that promote national awareness and understanding of the shared history between the two brotherly countries.

In addition, Mr Faris AlAnazi, Director of Admissions and Registration at the university, expressed his gratitude for the continuous support provided by the Saudi Embassy for university events aimed at encouraging Saudi students. He also expressed his immense happiness at the participation of students in this grand occasion, affirming his pride in Saudi Arabia’s rich history and its esteemed place in the hearts of all.

The celebration featured a series of traditional performances, much to the delight of the attendees, including the famous “Ardah Najdiyya,” a symbol of Saudi pride.

The event concluded with an official dinner in honor of the guests.
