The Department of Information Technology at the University College of Bahrain organized a workshop titled “Digital Professionalism and Career Readiness: From Idea to Implementation.” The session was delivered by Mr. Ahmed Buqais, Deputy Chief Technology Officer at Al Salam Bank, Bahrain, and a proud UCB alumnus.

Mr. Buqais provided students with practical insights on building digital professionalism and preparing for the modern job market. Key topics included the importance of communication and soft skills, earning professional certifications, and gaining real-life project experience. He also encouraged students to explore freelance opportunities and develop project portfolios beyond university coursework to enhance their career readiness.

The workshop was well-received, with students actively engaging throughout the session. To honor Mr. Ahmed’s valuable contribution, Dr. Rana Sawaya, President of the University College of Bahrain, presented him with a token of appreciation for sharing his expertise and inspiring the next generation of IT professionals.
