Dr. Amina Buallay, Advisor to the Chairman of the Board of Trustees at the University College of Bahrain, delivered a powerful Keynote Speech at the ICABER 2025 Conference in Istanbul, titled: “From Bahrain to the World: The Power of Applied Research for a Sustainable Future”.

In her keynote, Dr. Buallay spoke about how Bahrain, despite its small size, has become a powerful voice for sustainability, innovation, and academic excellence, driven by its ambitious vision and investment in education and applied research.

She highlighted Bahrain’s remarkable journey under Vision 2030, where education evolved from a system into a national strategy for transformation, turning knowledge into tangible impact and sustainable growth.

Her message celebrated the power of applied research as the bridge between knowledge and change, connecting data with purpose, innovation with humanity, and research with real-world impact.

She called on researchers to move from awareness to action, from ideas to impact, inspiring a new generation of scholars to see research not as theory, but as a force for transformation. “From Bahrain to the world: let us not wait for the future to arrive, let us engineer it”.
