As part of its continuous efforts to promote health awareness and reinforce its social responsibility, University College of Bahrain organized an awareness event on the occasion of Pink October, which is dedicated annually to breast cancer awareness, highlighting the importance of early detection and its role in increasing treatment and recovery rates.

The event featured an awareness lecture delivered by Dr. Najeeba Al-Mousawi, Consultant General, Breast, Reconstructive, and Endocrine Surgeon at Bahrain Specialist Hospital. During the lecture, she emphasized the importance of breast health awareness, recognizing warning signs that require attention, and the necessity of regular medical check-ups according to medical guidelines. She also underscored the role of health awareness in encouraging women to take proactive steps to ensure their well-being and prevent various breast tumors.

The event also included a series of accompanying awareness activities aimed at spreading knowledge and fostering engagement with the message of Pink October among students. The atmosphere reflected a spirit of solidarity and support, highlighting the vital role of educational institutions and the community in promoting health culture and preventive practices.

This initiative stems from University College of Bahrain’s belief that the role of educational institutions goes beyond academic instruction to include building a healthier, more conscious society through initiatives that address individual needs and contribute to enhancing the quality of life.
